Implementation methodology is a tool to help consultants apply the information technology to an organization’s business needs. Starting from define the systems that focus on the critical success factors of selected business functions or business process, this tool will provide a consistent and orderly approach to developing and implementing automated systems that meet the needs. The consultants and the customer must be able to monitor and control project resources (man, machine, money) to produce cost effective systems within schedule.

  1. Plan & Scope The information from contract or proposal will be expanded in detail in terms of scope of work, role and responsibility, time line, project structure, and working procedure. The objective is to set up a master project plan to be used as a guideline through out the project phases. The team has to define all software and hardware related to the project. The consultants will conduct a conceptual training to lay the knowledge ground for all users.
  1. Define The consultants have to understand the customer’s business horizontally and vertically. Fact finding process will be conducted and confirmed back to the customers. Most people said it is better of spending time in this process than get lost later.
  1. Design After the project team becomes familiar with the tools, the parameters and data fields are incorporated into the design to meet the business requirement. Since the tool is off the shelf product, there will be requirement that can not be supported. Therefore the consultants will identify and prepare gap analysis. Solutions will be proposed to the customers for further decision making.
  1. Develop Reports, screens, interfaces are created and tested. The consultants will build the design into the tool and present in the form of system prototype. Once it is approved, data migration process will start. Starting from set up the parameter, prepare the master data, prepare the opening balance data, and import into new system.
  1. Deploy To train the users, and conduct workshop to help the team understand the process from start to end. The completed and accepted system is delivered to users and put into production. The project is completed after the system has run live successfully.

1.4 Conceptual training To educate users and key users about the tool that will be used in the project. To help understand the architecture, design, and functionality of the program. Prepare class training and material. Conduct training and give detail as much as possible about the program. Answer the question that the users have about business process in the program. Summarize the key issues. Users understand the concept of product.
1.5 System installation To prepare the system environment and install the program. Confirm hardware, analyze the network and hardware requirement/environment, install the system and test. Enhance the process by recommend system backup procedure. The customer will prepare the system with Operating system (Microsoft Windows Server) and Database engine (Microsoft SQL Server).
